Wir lernten ihn kurz nach dem Salzburger Kongress für Kunsttherapie kennen und konnten ihn bald schon unsern GG, den Guten Grafen nennen. Angeregt durch Siegfried Hochstein, den ehemaligen Leiter der Akademie Faber-Castell AFC, hat er sich persönlich und in verstehender Weise um die Integration der Kunst- & Gestaltungstherapie à la IHP in seine Akademie gekümmert nachdem ihm durch Gespräche mit uns klar geworden war, dass wir die KGT (Kunst- & Gestaltungstherapie) hauptsächlich als pädagogisch-therapeutisches Konzept des Counseling verstehen.
Dass diese Konzeption gewissermaßen noch nicht so «etabliert» war wie die einer heilkundlich angelegten KGT hat sein Engagement eher beflügelt als gestoppt. Seine Einladung «Wenn Sie die Besten sind in diesem Feld, dann ist meine Akademie in guter Gesellschaft» spornte uns zu intensiven Kooperationsgesprächen und zu einer ausgereiften Konzeption an, welche den besonderen Herausforderungen der Situation in Stein gerecht wurde - bis auf den heutigen Tag.
Wir trafen ihn immer wieder mal im Casino zum Mittagessen, feierten mit ihm eines der Akademie Jubiläen und durften dabei erleben, wie höflich zugewandt, fachlich interessiert und zugleich bescheiden zurückhaltend er war.
«Ich bin froh, dass die KGT bei Ihrem Institut und unserer Kooperation in guten Händen ist», so Graf von Faber-Castell und zugleich verbunden mit der Frage «Geht es Ihnen auch noch gut damit?»
Ja, Graf von Faber-Castell, Sie haben zu Ihrer Lebzeit eine prima Kooperation installiert, deren Früchte auch in Ihrer JugendKUNSTSchule auf guten Boden gefallen sind und uns außerdem gemeinsam mit Astrid Brehmer-Kreis und Professor Uli Rothfuss, dem neuen Leiter Ihrer Akademie, zur Konzeption der KREATIVPÄDAGOGIK inspiriert. hat. Sie werden für uns auch über Ihren Tod am 21. Januar 2016 hinaus unser stiller «Schirmherr» für Kunsttherapeutisches und Kreativpädagogisches bleiben. Sie haben in unserm Herzen einen gesicherten Platz dafür.
Danke auch für die zahlreichen hochwertigen JumboGrip Farbstifte., die Sie über ihre Mitarbeiterin Hannelore Warning für die Post-Trauma-Counselings und Resilienz-Coachings in Louisiana, Guatemala und Brasilien bereit stellten. Viele Hurricane Katrina Opfer und Flüchtlinge haben an Ihrer Großherzigkeit und der Ihrer Mitarbeiter teilhaben dürfen.
Wir sind froh und dankbar, Ihnen zu Ihrer Lebzeit begegnet zu sein. Ihre Art des Engagements ist und bleibt uns ein Vorbild.

We had the pleasure to get to know him shortly after the Salzburg Congress for Art Therapy and named him immediately our “GG”, our “Guter Graf “, meaning our “Good Count”. The first initiative was taken by Siegfried Hochstein, the former head of the Faber-Castell Academy, but the integration of Art Therapy in the Faber-Castell Academy was right from the beginning heavily supported by Count Faber-Castell himself. As soon as he learned that our understanding of Art and Gestalt Therapy was focusing on the educational-therapeutic approach of counseling, he was personally convinced and highly dedicated to the implementation of our IHP Art Therapy Concept in his Academy. To know that this positioning was quite innovative and that our Institute IHP and his Academy would be pioneers in this field did even boost his motivation and engagement.
His invitation "If you are the best in this field, then my academy is in good company" inspired us to work very hard, on a constructive cooperation as well as on a sophisticated design for our study program, respecting the specific framework and constellations in Stein, from the very beginning until today.
Every now and then we met Count Faber-Castell at the Castle Canteen for lunch. We celebrated together with him one of the Academy’s anniversaries. At all these occasions we were enjoying his profound curiosity in our work and beyond that, his attitude of intensive personal attentiveness and honest modesty.
"I am glad that Art Therapy is in good hands, with your Institute and our cooperation”, Count Faber-Castell said once, immediately followed by the question "Are you all still fine with it?"
Yes, Count Faber-Castell, we are. You have installed during your lifetime a great cooperation and its seeds fell on good ground and grew up not only to a successful Art Therapy Program, but also to a renowned Youth Art School and – most recently – to the holistic study program “Creativity Education”, together with Astrid Brehmer-Kreis and Professor Uli Rothfuss, the new Head of the Academy.
Thanks to your generosity and to the support of your associate Hannelore Warning we are able to run a sustainable Resilience Counseling and Coaching Program at schools and medical centers in Louisiana, Guatemala and Brazil since many years. Innumerable refugees and victims of Hurricane Katrina were allowed to participate in post-trauma workshops based on colouring experiences with many of your beautiful Jumbo Grip colour pencils. They are deeply rejoicing your support and the one of your team members.
For us, in all our initiatives related to Art Therapy and Creative Education, you will stay our « Patron » , beyond your death on January 21,2016. You will have a safe place in our hearts and thoughts.
We are happy and grateful to having met you during your lifetime. Your attitude and engagement was and will always serve as an inspiration and model for us.

Tuvimos el placer de conocerlo poco después del Congreso de Arteterapia en Salzburgo y de inmediato lo llamamos nuestro “GG” que significa nuestro "Buen Conde = Guter Graf". Inspirado por la iniciativa que tomo Siegfried Hochstein, el ex jefe de la Academia de Faber-Castell, la integracion del Arteterapia en la academia fue desde un principio fuertemente apoyada por el mismo conde Faber-Castell.
Después de nuestras conversaciones, entendió que nuestro concepto de Arte y Terapia Gestalt, se centra en el enfoque educativo-terapéutico de consejería. Quedo muy convencido y se dedico personalmente a la implementación de nuestro IHP Arteterapia en su academia.
El saber que este concepto era muy innovador y aún no estaba entablado, aumento aún más su motivación y compromiso y puso todo de su parte para convertir a nuestro Instituto IHP y su Academia como pioneros en este campo.
Su lema “si tu eres el mejor en este campo, entonces mi empresa esta en buena compañia” nos inspiró aún más a trabajar muy duro en una cooperación constructiva asi como en un diseño sofisticado para nuestro programa de estudios, respetando el marco y las constelaciones en Stein, desde el principio hasta el día de hoy.
De vez en cuando nos reunimos con usted Conde Faber - Castell en la cantina del castillo para almorzar. Celebramos juntos uno de los aniversarios de la Academia. En todas esas ocasiones disfrutabamos de su curiosidad en nuestro trabajo y aún más de su intensa atención modesta y honesta hacia nosotros.
«Estoy contento que el Arteterapia esté en buenas manos, con vuestro instituto y cooperación», nos comentó usted Conde Faber- Castell y nos preguntó de inmedito «siguen contentos de estar con el Programa?».
Por supuesto que sí conde Faber-Castell, lo seguimos estando. Usted ha sembrado durante toda su vida semillas de gran cooperación, las que han caído en buena tierra, han hecho crecer un programa exitoso de Arteterapia y también ha creado una renombrada escuela de Arte joven y el más reciente programa de estudio integral «Educación creativa» junto con Astrid Brehmer – Kreis y el profesor Uli Rothfuss, el nuevo jefe de la academia.
Gracias por su generosidad y el apoyo con la cantidad de lápices de color, que nos hizo llegar a travez de su trabajadora Hannelore Warning, somos capaces de llevar a cabo nuestro programa de Consejería Post-traumática y el entrenamiento de resiliencia en las escuelas y centros médicos en Louisiana, Guatemala y Brasil, hace ya muchos años.
Una cantidad innumerable de refugiados y víctimas del huracán Katrina han participado en los talleres de post-trauma basadas en las experiencias de colorear con los lápices Grip Jumbo. Ellos le estan eternamente agradecidos tanto a usted como a los miembros de su equipo.
Para nosotros, en todas nuestras iniciativas relacionadas con el Arteterapia y la Educación Creativa, usted siempre será nuestro «Patrón», más allá de su muerte el 21 de Enero del 2016. Usted tendrá un lugar muy importante en nuestros corazones y pensamientos.
Estamos contentos y agradecidos por haberlo conocido. Su actitud y compromiso fue y será fuente de inspiración y modelo para todos nosotros.
